Austin Fashion Week 2010 Kick-off party pics PLUS 8 more parties to rock your socks!
Austin Fashion Week has kicked-off with a bang, starting with the musical talent of the one and only Tiffany along with some creative runway designs coming from the inspiring and thriving Austin community.
Here’s where we’ll be this week:
Eye Candy (Cory Ryan)+ Martha Lynn Barnes = Fashion Week cocktail party!
When: August 16, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Venue: 908 East 5th Street, Suite 112 ATX 78702 (Dial 0112 on the keypad for admittance)

Why this is so awesome: Candy bar, printable photo booth by Say Cheese, décor styling by The Inglenook Décor, Cory Ryan, fashions by CIARLAbride with Hair by Martha Lynn Barnes and the list goes on and on…
When: August 16, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. (music 9 – 2:00 a.m.)
Venue: ND at 501 Studios
Cost: Free
Why this is so awesome: Annie Ray will be there and with the chance to win a diamond, I just can’t pass up checking out what all the buzz is about.
“Girls Night Out! Dress Shop & Taylor Moseley
When: August 16, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Venue: Dress Shop, 315 Congress
Cost: Free
Why this is so awesome: Taylor Moseley jewelry combined with great dresses! Plus gift bags for the first 50 guests who arrive and who doesn’t love free swag?
When: August 17, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Venue: Designer Clearance House
Cost: Free
Why this is so awesome: Two words – shoes and hats! The description says “Inspired by the 1930′s collaboration of fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli and artist Salvador Dali, Milli Starr has created a Surrealist collection for Fall 2010, including a ‘Shoe Hat’” that just sounds scrumptious.
Feathers Boutique Hosts Louise Black!
When: August 18, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Venue: Feathers Boutique, 1700 B Congress
Cost: Free
Why this is so awesome: Truck show for Project Runway’s Louise Black and when we got to chat on Saturday she was mentioning some super cool, fun cocktail dresses.
When: August 19, 5:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Venue: Plain Ivey Jane, W 2nd Street
Cost: Free, after party starting at 10 at Malverde with $3 Sangria all night!
Why this is awesome: A night of decadence with treats, drinks and styles at Plain Ivey Jane, featuring complimentary eye make-up by Pilar and jewelry from Briolette.
When: August 19, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., fashion show starts at 7:00 p.m.
Venue: Texas State Capitol-South Steps
Cost: Free
Why this is awesome: A Texas-sized event featuring over 37 designers from all over the state!
2nd Annual Austin Fashion Awards
When: August 21, 5:30 - ?
Venue: Long Center for the Performing Arts
Cost: $30
Why this is so awesome: It’s the end and we must go out in style! Recognizing the finest from the Austin fashion scene, Golden Boot Awards will be presented for People’s Choice Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, and for the first time this year, Peer Choice Awards. Plus it will feature one of my favorite bands, SPEAK! And a Betsey Johnson fashion show.
