“VIDEOS: ACL Fest 2009: Day 3 Review; L.A.X.; Friday Night Lights Cast”

2009 October 19

Picture 15So if you hadn’t heard through Twitter or Facebook: I had swine flu and I got it at ACL.  Well, I’ve finally recovered! Since we just cleaned the mud off our shoes, we decided to brush the dust off these videos from ACL. Better late than never, right? :)

ACL Fest Day 3 Video Review:

Day 1 was beautiful. Day 2 was wet. And Day 3 was muddy and insane.  Despite the mud and the fishy smell, I’m gonna have to say this day was the most fun.  After the sun came out, everyone’s spirits lifted.

In the following video, see highlights from performances by Passion Pit and the White Lies, learn about Umbrella Bouncing (EVERYONE was doing it!), and see why my fans think I may give Obama a run for the money on that Nobel Prize. Oh yeah, there are PLENTY o’ mud scenes.  Turn the volume up to get the full SQUISH effect!

Feel free to swoon: I’m shirtless ;)

ACL Fest 2009 Interview with Austin Dance Band L.A.X.

Austin has a kick-a dance band, and their name is L.A.X.  Unfortunately, they got slotted in an early spot at ACL, so all the dancing machines were still in bed. Check this video to hear their thoughts on ACL and the bands who played.

Oh yeah: If you missed htem at ACL, you can catch them at the Flip Scene/Cherrypeel Halloween Party!

ACL Fest 2009 Interview with Friday Night Lights stars Zach Gilford and Jesse Plemons

Friday Night Lights, my favorite show on TV after Entourage, is filmed right here in Austin.  Not only is the show amazing, the stars are pretty cool, too.  In fact, we’ve been spotting these guys at a lot of the events we cover.  While at ACL, we caught up with Zack Gilford (AKA Matt Saracen) and Jesse Plemons (AKA Landry). Check the video to find out what they think about ACL.
