Saving Austin-What Austin keepsake would you want to preserve?

Austin symbol Uncommon Objects: by Emily Abigail

With talk of Austin’s Comprehensive Plan, we’ve been over what you would change here time and time again. But what about those special little gems that really make Austin home? If you could save anything in this city to stand strong through time, what would it be?

The National Trust for Historic Preservation wants to hear what YOU, gracious citizens of Austin, have to say on the subject. Is it the bike park off of Lamar that holds a special place in your heart? What about the lights of the Paramount on Congress? How about that Selena mural on the east side? Or Red House Pizza where everybody knows your name?

Whatever it is, come to Cheer Up Charlie’s this evening from 6pm-8pm and tell us all about it! Come and say hello, and I’ll show you how to order Austin’s best drink: A sake Thai coconut. They only make em at Cheer Ups.

See ya’ll manana!
