Till Debt Do Us Part-A Love Poem About Financial Planning For Couples
Here’s a little poem I wrote about personal finance for couples. Hope you enjoy it!
Till Debt Do Us Part
Love is the spark that ignites your heart.
Money is the wedge that can split you apart.
When two people merge, legally or not,
Their financial lives collide to bring about fraught.
At first it is easy to separate yours from mine,
But later arguments come as expenses arise.
Who spends more, who spends less?
Who pays the bills, who could care less?
Save for the future? Spend it all now?
Life becomes miserable if you allow.
So STOP!
Remember the love from where you began.
Have those discussions and work out a plan.
Let money bring you both joy and the life you desire.
Work together.
Play together.
Spend together
SAVE together
and rekindle that fire.

It’s hard as a couple and I’d like to know where you can go to sit and speak w/a professional about how to come up w/a plan (budget), lay it out and then make it work.
