What are your top 5 summer festival fashion tips for 2010? [PICTURES]
The last time I attended a festival in Houston it was to see Barenaked Ladies – tickets me and a friend had won through a local radio promotion. While I wasn’t very concerned for fashion during my awkward tween years, at the Free Press Summer Festival this past weekend in Houston I was curious to see what trends were making the biggest splash. Given that it is already ridiculously hot, I was excited to see festival fashion displayed by the Austin invasion into the sister city –
1) Less is more, but not always desired
2) Funky sandals are a form of artistic expression
3) Sunglasses are both functional and fashionable
4) Fanny packs are really making a come back
5) Dresses allow easy access for…cool air!
And when hot enough, underwear will make an appearance and by the looks of it more people should have taken advantage of our contest last week. Another observation is that while popular rompers are making a comeback, from my personal festival experience I’d save them for a concert and not for fighting the porta potty lines…what are your thoughts?

The "Fancy Pants" tent, might have been cooler, but ended up being the hideout of folks dressed in crazy hot costumes
If you attended the recent music festival and have some pictures to share, please pass them along – would love to see what you were rockin’ to the tunes of Dead Prez, Girl Talk, Bun B and Slim Thug.

*Pictures don’t reflect the top five picks as some of these were observations not caught on camera due to a second festival day of rain*
