Springtime on Austin’s Greenbelt–A dillo’s-eye view
Man, this weekend was so relaxing. The sun was shining. Everything is blooming. And this little dillo didn’t do anything but catch up on my stories, sleep and hike the Greenbelt with a couple of mangy mutts.
During last year’s drought, the Greenbelt was bone dry. Since kickin it on the Greenbelt is one of my favorite things to do during Austin’s summer, it was really depressing. This year, however, we’ve got water. And after enduring this rainy season, I was damn near busting out of my shell to get out on the water. Check out the photos, below, of my first excursion of the season on the Greenbelt.

This is Hank. For a dog, he's ok.
Baby is nice enough. She's stumpy, so she was easier to keep up with than Hank.
I told Hank not to drink the stagnant water. Dogs are dumb. Hope he didn't get sick.
We decided to climb up a little higher off the trail.
Baby isn't good at climbing, but she tried.

Hank was acting a damn fool on the ledge.

I splash around for a bit. Feels good!
Baby gets out of Barton Creek after a nice swim.
Then they decided it would be fun to chase me around.
HANK! Stop chasing me, this isn't funny!
