Christmas Carol Sing-A-long on the Capital steps courtesy of KUT at 6P. The Capital Christmas Tree gets lit at 7P. You can walk down congress or roll out with other bicyclists to see the lights!

Swingin!

One of my favorite Holiday events is the Holiday Swing Party for Project Transitions. Big Band playing swing music, silent auction fundrasier, and more. In it’s 21st year, this event is a blast. IF you have the means, I highly recommend going!

Shake it for the kids

Hmm, we got this invite, but not sure if it’s really a house party, or if it’s a party with house music. Regardless, it looks really good. DJ’s spinning dubstep, FREE beer (while supplies last then it’s BYOB) and it’s a fundraiser for Austin Children’s Shelter, and emergency fund for severely abused children.

If you haven’t heard Austin’s outlaw crooner Izzy Cox, you’re missing out. She’s like a steampunk, burlesque wanderkind. She’s been on tour and is back in Austin and opening for the Flametrick Subs. You can see her tonight at Beerland. Go Go Go! We love this girl!
