“PICTURES: Flip Scene Halloween Bash at the Mohawk, October 28th, 2009″

On Wednesday, Ari and I hit up the Mohawk for the Flip Scene’s Halloween Bash. Me as Bunnicula, a vampire bunny, and Ari as the Cheshire Cat, we braved the rain to party down with some of our favorite Austin musicians.

First off: Y’all have a lot more devotion than I do. Standing in the rain IN COSTUME for the Black and White years? That’s dedication! I was shocked how many people let their makeup run and costumes get soaked while rocking out to the Austin band.

Second: Dang! Y’all know how to dress up. I didn’t recognize half of you. I didn’t even realize some of you were there until you changed your Facebook profile pic on Thursday. On tha realz!

Some of our favorite costumes: Katherine Whittemore dressed local scenester Jonathan Braden and Zack Teibloom dressed as Austin singer Neiliyo. Best Group costume: L.A.X. dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Speaking of L.A.X.: SOOOO good! Couldn’t stop shaking my vampire bunny booty. Since it was inside and everyone was wet from the previous shows, the room got really steamy REALLY quick!

By far, the funnest set of the night was Neiliyo’s. He invited the audience to get up on the stage with him, then turned the speakers around so they’d point towards the stage. It was like a mini dance party (Check out this video footage of Neiliyo’s set we found on Facebook).
