Howling at the Full Moon-Pictures of New Year’s Eve Parties in Austin, December 31st 2009.
New Year’s Eve always seems to bring out the party animal in me [Here's my account of New Year's Eve Y2K in Austin], and this year was no exception. Since New Year’s Eve fell on a Blue Moon (aka 2nd Full Moon in one month), I turned into a werewolf and hit the town. After a couple of house parties early in the evening, my trusty bike and I headed south to hit up the Knuckle Rumbler Crumple Blunder New Year’s Eve and 1 Year B-Day party.
When I got there at 11.45P, the party was a full on rager. The backyard was packed, and the house was full of more people than Walmart on Black Friday; I was scared someone was gonna get trampled! When you add tons of champagne plus free flowing Tito’s and Sweet Leaf, it was insanity.
At midnight, everyone toasted, kissed, then howled at the moon. But that wasn’t the end of the night, Richard Gear was droppin dance hits all night long in the living room of the house. It was a stompy stomp good time. I’ll let the video and photos do the talking.
WATCH: In the video, check out the madness at midnight. Yeah, there was kissing and kissing and kissing.
SEE: After the jump, look at pictures of the people we love. You can also check out the full set of photos from New Years Eve in Austin on our flickr feed or on our Facebook page. Tag your friends!
