It’s too hot for clothes. What are Austin’s summer swim wear trends for 2010? [PICTURES]
So when its too hot in Austin to wear clothes, what do you do to stay cool?
Some friends and I headed to the Greenbelt this past weekend to soak up some rays and while we were there I was impressed with some of the swim styles -
While fashion magazines are touting one-pieces with interesting cutouts and lots of floral designs with embelishments, from what I’ve seen Austinites like to keep it simple – wearing as little as possible.
Lots of strapless tops, bright colors, fun shapes and vintage cuts were out this weekend and that includes guys and girls!
One girl I talked with even mentioned that she has a separate style depending on if she is boating or hitting up the lake, do you do the same thing?
So what’s your favorite summer swimsuit style when your feelin’ frisky and tired of the heat?

where on the greenbelt is this location with the waterfalls and swimming? I want to go there!
Great post, Linsey!
I do have a couple different bathing suits and it all depends on whether or not I’m going to the lake, greenbelt, pool or boating.
Now that I think about it, I do save my skanky ones for the lake or floating the river – thanks, Chris!!
Thanks for the comment, Sarita! Its a super cool place and off the beaten path, which I love…across from Rudy’s off 360 in the Lost Creek neighborhood, be warned – its a hike
