Come rock out with Learning Secrets, Erol Alkan and Republic of Austin.

Republic of Austin is super dooper excited to announce a kick-a partnership with our friends Learning Secrets.

First off, Ian and Jeramy are pretty rad. Not only do they book some amazing DJ’s, but they play a mean game of Taboo. Even more exciting is the CHANCE TO SEE ONE OF MY FAVORITE DJ’s, EROL ALKAN!

Back in Berlin, I worked doing booking and marketing for a couple of clubs and venues. You could say I was pretty entrenched in the music and nightlife of the city.  On any night of the week, I could see Peaches, Miss Kittin, Boys Noize, David Guetta, and DJ Hell–to name a few. One of my favorite and frequent guests was Erol Alkan.

Erol is knee-deep in the electro-house game. His remixes of Alter Ego’s “Rocker” and Mylo’s “Drop the Pressure” practically ruled 2004. Since then he’s worked with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, Justice, Scissors Sisters, Klaxons and Bloc Party.  Can’t wait to see what he brings to Austin in April.
