Yo, God! Turn on the A/C Already!
Yeah, it’s hot. How hot is it? Hot enough that our brothers and sisters in the blogosphere can’t stop writing about it.

Room 710 Closes; Owner FLAMES Blogger
Red River cock rock live music venue Room 710 recently closed its doors. Tyler over at TwoGrooves wrote his eulogy to the renegade bar and noted that owner Asher Garber seemed to place the blame on everyone except himself. Check this email thread to see just how pissed off Asher got.
Wheels of Steal
Republic of Austin Editor Chris Apollo loves the Thursday Night Social Ride put on by Social Cycling ATX. That’s why he got super upset to hear that someone stole purses, phones, iPods and a PASSPORT during a break on the ride last week. Come on, folks! Why do you have to ruin one of the most kickback, accepting rides hitting the pavement right now?
Up Waller Creek Without a Cycle
Roma Design Group is drafting its Master Plan for development of the Waller Creek District, and urban cyclists are gearing up to give their recommendations.
- Downtown Austin has video covering a recent bike tour of the area that was set up to facilitate discussion around future possibilities.

Director Discusses Filming in Austin
The folks over at Slackerwood posted an interview with writer/director Simon Rumley about filming in Austin. Simon was recently in town shooting his new film “Red, White and Blue.” Want to know more about the movie?
