24 Hours at SXSW 2010–March 14th 2010 with Leah Jones from Native Arts and Media

2010 March 15

Unless you’re surgically fused to someone, chances are you aren’t going to have the same experience at SXSW as anyone else. With that in mind, we invited some of our friends from around Austin and the country to document 24 hours of their experience at SXSW. Geeks, filmmakers and musicians will all be sharing their SXSW 2010 experience with us. There might be some surprises!

Leah Jones is one of my favorite people–and I really only see her once or twice a year. Hailing from Chicago, Leah helps artists and musicians learn how to use social media to more effectively connect with their fans.  She’s also an all-round kick-a person. If you see her around the festival, give her a hug! Check out her day and peep her shot, one-minute videos, below!

Pi Day at SXSW

For me, SXSW is an exhausting marathon of constant motion starting with the first walk to the elevator in the hotel. From there it is across the bridge, over to the ACC, up and down escalators, over to whole foods, across the bridge, up the elevator, down… you get the picture. Since my video editor doesn’t have effects, I’ll spare you the long version of Constant Motion.

(Listen for the amazing laugh from the crowd and look for the Pi from Ning in celebration of Pi Day.)

Slightly more traditional, here’s my day in photos set to Heads Up, Heart Down by I Fight Dragons. Yeah, I only went to one panel – that’s par for the course. I picked up a bit of swag, had a party in my room and then had the most wonderful dinner at La Condesa in the Vault. Most of my photos are a food tour of the dizzying Whole Foods and the family style dinner at La Condesa.
