12 beautiful portraits from the Dreaming in Color–Club Kid fashion show at the ND. [PHOTOS]
This past weekend, I hit up the Dreaming in Color/Club Kid party at the ND. Hosted by Mouthfeel and Coco Coquette, the party transported visitors to the techno-colored era of 90s. A fundraiser for AIDS Services of Austin underwritten by VitaminWater, the fashion show was full of over-the-top looks from local designers that felt more like New York than Austin. Many folks also dressed up in extravagant costumes that celebrated the liberated, tripped-out style of the 90′s club culture. The party was a lot of fun, and for a moment, I forgot I was in Austin.
Capturing the magic was Jeremiah Newton from J.New Photography. Armed with a light and some foil, he set up an impromptu photobooth right next to the dance floor. The result are these beautifully erie photos that feel somewhat alien.
Jeremiah had this to say about the photos:
I try to get high detail and deer in the headlight expression. I like to create photos that have a painted feeling with Dark darks, subtle plays of light and shadow, and most of all the windows to the soul shining bright.

Although QUITE the compliment, Ashley Hancock and Christina Svec were the makeup artists for this event, not the designers…

PS. Killer evening, and the pictures are here to prove it. Great work, Jeremiah!
Hi Christina! Thanks for the heads up! I fixed the captions!
Amazing looks!
Why doesn’t the piece ever mention the Coco Coquette produced the event and did the wigs and make up?
Hi Tiana. It actually does mention Coco Coquette in the 2nd sentence.
Phucking Phantastic Photos.
